The plan unfolds as a ground-plus-one structure sculpted along a meticulously considered axial geometry. At its centre, a soaring courtyard anchors not just circulation but emotion — the family’s place of pause, exchange, and inherited rituals. Radiating outward are varying pockets of green, light, and volume, creating a choreography of open and intimate spaces.
Orientation was calibrated using sun-path analysis, ensuring that breezes glide seamlessly through the home, entering through the tall vertical windows and escaping through courtyards and skylights. Even the primary built block is gently rotated off the site’s orthogonal grid, unlocking dynamic lawns, dining terraces, and celebration pockets — reflecting the client’s love for gathering their extended family for festivals, meals, and leisurely revelry.
Zoning follows a thoughtful gradient: public realms toward the front; semi-public passages, stairs, courtyards as mediators; and private suites encircling the central court. This measured transition allows the house to feel expansive yet never grandiose — a shelter where intimacy is not lost in scale.
